I have been involved in offshore sub sea construction, inspection and worked on various civil engineering projects since 1974. After a varied diving career from Taylor diving diver/tender, I worked as mixed gas and saturation diver for Comex diving, Oceaneering and for 10 years with Solus Ocean Systems.
I have worked as Bell diving supervisor and superintendent in various water depths in various parts of the world.
For the last 22 years I have worked as client Representative, diving consultant, and construction manager on various contracts for major oil/gas and civil engineering companies worldwide.
I have been involved with all aspects of on and offshore work both for safety, contractual and construction including the following activities:
Pipe lay (Rigid, flexible and spooled pipe) – Control umbilical installation and repair - rock dumping – FTA, PLEM and spool installations – Hyper-baric welding – Trenching/ploughing both pipelines and umbilical - Pipeline repair (Rigid and flexible repairs)– FGT pipelines – Pigging cleaning pipelines - Sub sea completions - Wellhead abandonment - Pipeline shore pulls - Outfalls - Inlets - IRM - civil engineering projects - pile removal and repair - seawater intake construction - fish acoustic deterrent system installation. Diagnostics investigations on hydraulic, chemical valves and jumpers with isolations and barrier testing control.
I have also been involved and written manuals and procedures on wellhead maintenance, repair and deep water pipeline repair techniques using remote diving techniques and Hydrate removal procedures using hot tap methods.
I worked for various companies and reviewed contracts working procedures and completed all levels of risk assessments.
